STITCH is happy to announce it's Winter/Early Spring schedule!
Our newest instructor Carrie Martin is settling into the family! All of my students are happy to have such a caring, patient and lovely instructor! Carrie will continue to teach some of the Sewing 101 classes, and hopefully some others as well.
Carrie has been enjoying sewing since age 13 when her mother began teaching her the fundamentals of the craft. Her hand-made creations range from everyday wear to bridal gowns. She especially enjoys re-purposing vintage items and making alterations. She feels immensely enriched by the ability to create with needle and thread and considers it one of her favorite art forms.

Sewing 101
Intro to sewing for both true beginners or sewers
with some experience that want to improve their
sewing skills. In this class students will make a
fabric wallet, a tote bag and a-line skirt.

Easy Pillows
Spruce up your decor with easy to make fabric
pillow covers. Students will learn two methods of
making pillows; zippered and envelope closure.

Hand Embroidery-Not Just
Flowers and Birds
Learn the basics of hand embroidery. Students
will learn a variety of techniques that they can
later use to embroider everything from pillowcases
to tee-shirts.

Baby Quilt Workshop
In this three session class, which does have

Farmer’s Wife Quilt Along
Already know how to quilt but want to try out

Quilt as You Go Quilting
Workshop
Learn the basics of strip pieced quilt as you go
blocks. Sandwiching the batting backing and block
fabrics together...and quilting as you go! This is a
great technique if you want to quilt a quilt on a
home machine but are intimidated by the size and
scope of a bed quilt.

Quilting 101
This class is for beginning quilters or for quilters
that haven't yet branched out to try a variety of
piecing and quilting techniques. Students will
make a throw or crib sized sampler quilt comprised
of a mix of traditional block designs and
contemporary ones too! This class will have
homework :) The last class session will cover how
to quilt the layers of the quilt together. Students
will then finish the quilting stitches independently.
