STITCH on Hiatus

There are amazing opportunities on the horizon for STITCH. To allow time and energy to make those dreams come to fruition, STITCH will be on hiatus until further notice. Growing pains can be difficult, but STITCH plans to come back bigger and better when it does!

I will no longer be offering any of the five session, weekly, classes but will be offering the following if there is enough interest.

I will be offering a two day 102 workshop on a Friday and Saturday each month, with 6 spots available each day. This class will be $125 per day and will run from 10-12:30 with a break for lunch and continue from 1:30-7. Food will not be included, but with the hour break students can go anywhere in the area for lunch, or pack your own. Bottled water will be provided. 

As long as there is enough interest in this class I will continue to offer this option as long as possible at the current location. Basically, by taking one of the all day classes each month, you will be getting the sewing time of four weeks of 102! If you can take both days each month, you will be getting in SO much sewing time!!!

If you have any comments, questions, or concerns please do let me know and I will do my very best to address them. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful roster of students, and that I get to spend time with you all, doing what I love, teaching!

I really wanted to be able to continue to offer all of you time at the studio- but as things gear up for changes I just will not be able to keep the weekly schedule as it stands. I hope you will all join me in the all day classes!

I will release the dates of these monthly classes ASAP.

Carrie has been enjoying sewing since age 13 when her mother began teaching her the fundamentals of the craft.  Her hand-made creations range from everyday wear to bridal gowns.  She especially enjoys re-purposing vintage items and making alterations.  She feels immensely enriched by the ability to create with needle and thread and considers it one of her favorite art forms.

This class is for beginning quilters or for quilters
that haven't yet branched out to try a variety of
piecing and quilting techniques. Students will
make a throw or crib sized sampler quilt comprised
of a mix of traditional block designs and
contemporary ones too! This class will have
homework :) The last class session will cover how
to quilt the layers of the quilt together. Students
will then finish the quilting stitches independently.

Last Minute Gifts Workshop this Saturday has space available!

Coming up this Saturday from 12-4 we have space available in the last minute gifts workshop! We'll be making a variety of projects that you can pick and choose!
Cute patchwork coasters, pot holders, fabric wallets, zipper pouches, ornaments and pincushion jars along with a fabric pillow as well!
Class fee includes the how to for each project, refreshments and 2 free fabric fat quarters!
I will be a festive day at the studio!!!

Workshop

Learn the basics of strip pieced quilt as you go
blocks. Sandwiching the batting backing and block
fabrics together...and quilting as you go! This is a
